Of course we have had the Cervarix vaccine in the UK, but early reports showed that this was having enormous adverse reactions. See, for instance,

Tamiflu - more Big Pharma deception

See http://www.naturalnews.com/027734_Tamiflu_Roche.html
This is just part of what the article says about Tamiflu, the anti-viral drug, and Roche, the drug's manufacturer.
"Roche claims there are ten studies providing Tamiflu is both safe and effective. According to the company, Tamiflu has all sorts of benefits, including a 61% reduction in hospital admissions by people who catch the flu and then get put on Tamiflu.
The problem with these claims is that they aren't true. They were simply invented by Roche.
A groundbreaking article recently published in the British Medical Journal accuses Roche of misleading governments and physicians over the benefits of Tamiflu. Out of the ten studies cited by Roche, it turns out, only two were ever published in science journals. And where is the original data from those two studies? Lost.
The data has disappeared. Files were discarded. The researcher of one study says he never even saw the data. Roche took care of all that, he explains".
Truth and honesty appear to go out of the window when there is the prospect of selling, and making huge profits from selling pharaceutical drugs!
I'm Verklempt!

Like my friend Linda Richman, I'm totally verklempt!
God I’ve missed you!
I apologize guys, It's been a crazy few days filled with a stomach virus; which was immediately followed the next day by an eye appointment that left me feeling dazed, confused & literally blinded by light, and job with uber computer issues the last two business days which left me unable to access the Internet from “said job,” not to mention throwing a wrench in completing certain “said job” projects on site sans cyber capacities.
Between you and me, I really contemplated biting the bullet and dialing up a la 1997 so I could revisit geocites and the likes there of ;)
So yes, it’s been challenging, frustrating, and I’m jonesing for my D-O-C fix, BIG TIME.
And don't even get me started on my attempt to Christmas shop over the weekend. Let's just say that the term "shit storm" more than sums up that experience. And note to the idiot in the TJMaxx parking lot who took up the last two parking spots with your Astro mini van: YOU’RE AN ASS-HAT and there’s a special place reserved for your kind in hell!
But out of all the chaos, something happened that had (and still has) me feeling surprised; honored, & emotional every time I think about it. I received an email last week letting me know that I’d been nominated for 3 Diabetes Online-Community awards (2010 DOC AWARDS) in the following categories:
Funniest Blogger - WOW
Most Likely To Put You In A Good Mood - This just made me smile, laugh & get verklempt - so go ahead, "talk amongst yourselves. Here, I’ll give you a topic:The Holy Roman Empire. It wasn't holy, it wasn't Roman, and it wasn't an empire. DISCUSS!"
Blogger With The Best Use Of Bad Language - Ok, seriously, what the f^ck?
But truthfully and sans the bad language: I wanted to say THANK-YOU from the bottom of my imperfect pancreas. No matter what the outcome, the fact that a fantastical group of people chose to put my name along side other fantastical people in our community just blows my mind and reminds me how grateful & happy I am to be part of the DOC!
Why Conventional Medicine can never work

When I developed painful gastric ulcers 30 years ago I went to my GP – it was the normal, routine thing to do – we all do it – it is what is expected of us. I was in pain, and the new ‘miracle’ drug my GP gave me offered me the prospect of cure. Indeed, it did work - 3 times - only for the condition to return again within a few months.
It was an amazing moment. The clarity of my new understanding and insight into health was empowering. I began to see through the 'battleground' that NHS-ConMed, and its toxic drugs, had created, their war against bacteria and viruses, their attack on childhood diseases, their invasive and aggressive vaccinations, their drugs that 'fought' this, and 'destroyed' that.
The rich and powerful NHS-ConMed Establishment was not producing a healthier population. Virus hunters and germ killers within Big Pharma were not succeeding, regardless of the money being spent. People were not living healthier or happier lives. Even NHS-ConMed’s claim to be increasing life-expectancy did not ring true, certainly if 'quality' of life was also placed into the equation.
