The Truth about Gardasil (and Cervarix)

The Truth about Gardasil (and Cervarix)

For anyone who wants to know the truth about ConMed, it is no use listening to the government, the NHS, your local PCT, or even your own doctor. It is certainly no use relying on the mainstream media. People damaged by ConMed drugs often have to set up their own support groups, and their own websites.

Gardasil is the HPV vaccine, foisted on young girls over the last two years to 'fight' cervical cancer. But thousands of girls are now experiencing severe adverse reactions, and some have died - about 71 according to the group, ''The Truth about Gardasil'  (http://truthaboutgardasil.org/)

This website outlines some of the reactions these girls have suffered, including seizures, strokes, dizziness, fatigue, weakness, headaches, stomach pains, muscle pain and weakness, joint pain, auto-immune problems, chest pains, hair loss, appetite loss, personality changes, insomnia, hand/leg tremors, arm/leg weakness, shortness of breath, heart problems, paralysis, itching, rashes, swelling, aching muscles, menstrual cycle changes, fainting, swollen lymph nodes, night sweats, nausea, temporary vision/hearing loss just to name some of them!

The website says that there is no known treatment to help these girls. They are wrong in this, of course, they should be seeking out local homeopaths to see if this treatment is able to help them; but essentially they are talking here about the response of ConMed, and ConMed practitioners. They say this:

" The doctors, if they even admit the connection, have no idea how to help them. So they spend their days going from appointment to appointment, from specialist to specialist trying to find someone to help them. Many of these families have started looking for help outside of mainstream medicine, which in some cases, may bring minor relief. However, most insurance plans do not cover this type of treatment, and as a result, this route is out of reach for many girls".

And before my denialist readers  cry 'foul', girls have not been given Gardisil in the UK, the website also covers those who have used Cervirix too.

This is yet another ConMed disaster.

Ashya King and Patient Choice

Ashya King and Patient Choice
It is likely that this story will soon diminish and dwindle into obscurity, and most people will consider that there has been a 'happy' ending, with the family re-united, and Ashya getting the treatment his parents wanted for him.

Yet to consider the story in this way is to ignore the bigger implications of what has been allowed to happen. The trials of Ayesha's family have been about Health Freedom and Patient Choice.

What did his parents do to get themselves arrested and imprisoned? What did they do to deserve having their son made a Ward of Court by the English judicial system?

Quite simple, they ignored medical advice! Note well that word - advice: A ‘recommendation about action’, ‘somebody’s opinion about what another person should do’ - then consider the consequences for anyone who does not conform to conventional medical advice!
  • The Police and the Crown Prosecution Service acted upon this advice, without question, and without reservation.
  • The local authority act upon this advice, without question, and without reservation.
  • And our courts of law acted upon this advice, without question, and without reservation.
So the result for Ashya’s parents not following medical ‘advice’ was to end up in prison, their very sick young child denied access to his family, and legal control of Ashya taken away from them, and given to the state.

So what was the quality of this ‘advice'?

It transpires that the parents did not place their child in danger. They were unhappy about the treatment the medical 'experts' were giving him. They identified another form of treatment that had been denied to him. And they were told this treatment would not be beneficial for their son.

In other words, they questioned the medical 'expertise' of the medical experts, and had been denied their patient choice. This was a denial of health freedom/

And, true to form, our mainstream media presented the story exactly as the conventional medical establishment presented it to them. The only questions they bothered to ask was directed to other ‘experts’ within the conventional medical establishment'.

A nice cosy story for the media to run with, then?

Well, not for long. Soon the enormity of the actions initiated by the medical authorities began to quickly unravel. Soon we were told that there as no evidence to support the European Arrest Warrant. So after several days the parents were released. The police and prosecution services have said that they would 'review' the quality of the evidence given to them by the medical authorities (although I suspect we are unlikely to hear any more about this). And the 'alternative' treatment asked for by the family is now to be provided for the family, at a reduced rates, with public offers of funding the treatment became available.

Public sympathy was quick to develop in this case, regardless of the attitude of the conventional medical system, the police, the Crown Prosecution Service, and the mainstream media.

The 'Medical Mafia', as more and more people are describing the conventional medical establishment, had overstepped the mark. They had miscalculated. So much so, the rest the the Establishment could not save them - although no doubt they will seek to reduce the impact of their gross error of judgement in future weeks.

The fact is that the conventional medical establishment wants to develop a complete and total monopoly of health provision within the NHS. And they are almost there! Go to any GP surgery, or any NHS hospital, and you will be offered one type of treatment, usually based on pharmaceutical drugs that are known to be largely ineffective, and usually harmful to our health. The NHS is not set up now to do anything else. Anyone who asks for something different to what is offered faces opposition from an NHS bureaucracy largely opposed the concept of patient choice.

Am I exaggerating to situation?
  • If you think so, go to see your GP, and ask him/her for a non-conventional medical treatment! I did this several years ago and had an 11 month battle with the GP surgery, the then local PCT, and went through the entire complaints system before I was given the homeopathic treatment I asked for.
  • Listen to the voices of those so convinced of the benefits of vaccines (and so closed to any suggestion that they may cause harm), and be aware that they want to stop non-vaccinated children attending pre-school and nursery provision.
  • Anyone over 50, or considered at risk of heart disease, are now supposed to be taking Statin drugs, regardless of their wishes or reservations, regardless of whether they are told about the serious harm this drug can cause.
  • The NHS is seeking to close the few Homeopathic Hospitals in this country.
  • And if you have a dog, try getting it into a kennel without proof of vaccination!
That is what caused the problems for Ashya's parents. They had the audacity to question medical orthodoxy. They dared to suggest that the treatment treatment their son was receiving was dangerous. They did not like what they were being offered. They asked for another form of treatment, and were even willing to pay for it themselves, but they were denied.

Patient Choice and Health Freedom is not alive within the NHS.

So this situation can and will happen again, unless and until we begin challenge the arrogance of the conventional medical profession, and the monopolistic ambitions of the Big Pharmacy drug companies. We can be certain that they will continue to insist that we all take their dangerous drugs and vaccines.

So whilst I am happy that things now seem to be working out for the King family, the real issues of Patient Choice and Health Freedom, central to this situation, are being ignored, and so the lessons are not being learnt.

Diabetesaliciousness Performance Rider...It's An Industry Standard

Diabetesaliciousness Performance Rider...It's An Industry Standard
So, Last month I got an email from Gary Scheiner of Integrated Diabetes, asking me to perform at his Pumpers Banquet, which celebrates the 50th meeting of Insulin Pump Club of Greater Philadelphia. Which by the way, is tonight at 7p.m.

I of course was completely flattered & excited, and of course said "Yes."

As long as Gary was willing to meet my "Diabetesaliciousness Performance Rider/list of demands." All serious entertainers such as myself have these Riders which is both a common practice and an industry standard.

I sent him my list and he was more than willing.

Here’s a copy of said Rider, do you think I went to far, or not far enough? IS there anything else I should demand in future Riders? Diabetesaliciousness minds want to know.....

*********************************************

Diabetesalicious-Lite Is Brought To You By: Infusion Site Awareness, Hurricane Earl, The FDA/Menus/ Carb Counts, Barkley The Dog, & Bitch Pens....

This Week's edition of Diabetesalicious-Lite is brought to you by & Infusion Site Awareness, Hurricane Earl, The FDA & carb counts,Barkley The Dog and Bitch Pens....

A few weeks back I received a packet from Roche regarding Infusion Site Awareness week, which is (was) August 30th through September 5th. Yes, I know ,we are half way through it, and it's my fault that I'm putting it out late and I apologize.

Infusion Set Awareness Week is pretty cool, and as far as I'm concerned, every week should be infusion set awareness week- especially if cool temporary tattoos are involved!

Basically, the folks at Roche ( Full disclosure, I sit on their Patient Advisory Board) wanted to stress the importance of not only changing your insulin pump infusion set & rotating your infusion set sites to prevent infection, scare tissue (dead spots,) tissue damage, and lipohypertrophy - swelling caused by an increased of fat cells at the infusion site. Not only does it cause lumps, but poor absorption.
OK, I'll admit it, I'm not always great when it comes to changing my site, but like everything else diabetes related, I'm working on it. Roche sent me a bunch of information regarding infusion site awareness as well as something kind of cool: Temporary tattoos for infusion sites, with the hope that it will promote PWDs to change and rotate their sites every 2 or 3 days.

Now if truth be told, I always wanted a tattoo, but was to chicken to actually get one. So I was very excited to try the temporary infusion set tattoos. AndI love it! It didn't hurt, took all of 30 seconds to transfer to my site, and lets face it - It looks damn cool! I can't wait to change my set and try another one on for size!

They work with all pump infusion sets, and if you happen to wear a pod, me thinks you can transfer the temporary tattoo to your pod!

Yours truly rocking the temporary infusion set tattoo and breaking my cardinal rule of showing off my stomach!

Temporary Infusion Set Tattoos

Interested in learning more about infusion set awareness? Of course you are! Here's the link: http://www.accu-chekinsulinpumps.com/en_US/act/en_US/microsites/infusionsitemanagement/index.html

If you'd like to receive some temporary infusion set tattoos, email me & I'll send you some. FYI, I only have a limited number, so email me sooner rather than later~

It's Hurricane Season for those of us who live on the East Coast, and we are prepping for the latest Hurricane/Tropical Storm called Earl. Hopefully Earl will bring us nothing but rain and a few awe inspiring waves. Last week was the 5 year anniversary of Katrina, and seeing the footage replayed over and over on the news, I was again reminded of the devastation that Mother Nature can cause. All of us need to be prepared.

dLife has a great article about Diabetes And Weather, and how we need to create an Emergency Kit in order to be prepared. Click HERE and read it.

Bennet over at YDMV sent me a link to his post regarding the FDA hearing regarding nutritional information on menus, including CARB COUNTS for all entrees, appetisers, & desserts. Obviously, as PWDS we need that info! We have until September 7th to let the FDA know how we feel. In order to do that , click HERE & tell the FDA why carb counts on menus are crucial to those of us living with diabetes!

On the weird and true holiday front, today is National Skyscraper Day , U.S. Bowling League Day, Home Run Pitcher Day, National Wilderness Day and Sesame Street's favorite canine Barkley The Dog's birthday! For a list of all your favorite Muppets birthdays, click HERE!

This weeks strange but fabulous facts:

If you pause "Saturday Night Fever" at the "How Deep Is Your Love" rehearsal scene, you will see the camera crew reflected in the dance hall mirror.

The bubbles in Guinness Beer sink to the bottom rather than float to the top like all other beers. No one knows why.

In the 1940's, the Bich pen was changed to Bic for fear that Americans would pronounce it 'Bitch.' Personally, I like Bitch Pen better ;)

And now you know~
