Dear People Living A Non -Diabetes Life:

I'm writing to let you know that November is Diabetes Awareness Month; November 1st is T1Day & November 14th is World Diabetes Day.

In my life, and in the lives of millions of others, Diabetes and "Diabetes Awareness" is 365 days a year, with no time off for vacations or good behavior.

PLEASE (from the bottom of my broken pancreas,) take some time in the next 30 days to learn about diabetes realities.

Realities like insulin injections; blood letting, carb counting, Blue Circles, Blue Buildings and Blue Fridays.

And please remember to take into consideration that PWDs (people with diabetes) continually have to think, calculate and prepare regarding their diabetes in order to live productive lives.

Realities that can include kidney complications, blindness, digestive, nerve and heart issues.

Thanks to the diabetes reality of medical technology and scientific advances, the Diabetes world also has an amazingly large and continually growing number of Diabetes success stories of people living great lives; having families, wonderful jobs and living well into retirement age with broken pancreases and or faulty metabolisms, a.k.a, Diabetes.

With the advent of such wonderful advances, we still live in a world where diabetes has NO CURE.

A world where people are dying because they lack even the most basic of diabetes necessities, insulin.

I implore you to arm yourself with knowledge and educate yourself about the different types of diabetes that exist - And don't be so quick to judge others because they live a diabetes life.

And if you have any diabetes related questions, don't assume you know the answers, because in all honesty, I'm 97% sure you don't.

Please realize that I’m in no way blaming you for your lack of diabetes knowledge, because I’m not. I blame the media and all their Diabetes Media Muck-Ups for giving you the wrong information about my disease.

Seriously, if you have any diabetes questions, ASK a person with diabetes and you’ll get the real diabetes facts.

Very much looking forward to talking with you soon!

Your friend,

Kelly Kunik

SAE WHAT?

With November being Diabetes Awareness Month - there's a ton of stuff going on and I'm not sure how I'm going to keep up with it all - but I'm going to try!

Today, November 1st, is also SAE Day - which stands for Support, Advocate, & Educate Diabetes Awareness Day!

I plan on continuing to SUPPORT diabetes causes, platforms, and organizations and I'm going to encourage others to do the same.
I will ADVOCATE by not only continuing to write my blog, but write about numerous diabetes projects and campaigns and actively participate in an many of those campaigns as I can. I've also signed up to participate in both the American Diabetes Associations "Blog 30 Days of Diabetes In November & Beyond" and NaBlopoMo (National Blog Posting Month), which means I will be writing 30 diabetes blog posts, 30 days in a row - And YES, there's there's a very good chance I'm going to go a bit loopy in the process.
The EDUCATE part will be in the form busting diabetes myths and spreading diabetes truths. I will reach out to my local papers to spread the word. I've also contacted several teachers in my school district and inquired if they would be interested in having a Q & A among the staff & students about living with diabetes. So many children are being diagnosed with type 1 & 2, I think it's important to reach out to educators and the students and give them the patient perspective of living a diabetes life.
I''m going to continue to become an educated and empowered ePatient & encourage others to do so.
AND I'm also going to take the principles of SAE Day and incorporate them into my daily routine for the entire month of November - and beyond.
Tomorrow's Post: Learn about one simple click of the mouse that can help you literally & figuratively be part of the diabetes cure!

Her story can be repeated many times over; and it all has to do with the discovery that homeopathy is, indeed, a gift.

The Royal Families of Europe, especially the UK family, have certainly appreciated the gift of homeopathy.
This article shows how Royalty throughout Europe have benefitted, and the conditions they have been treated for.

And so, if would appear, do the people of India.
George Vithoulkas describes here the stunning growth of homeopathy on this sub-continent.

Homeopathy really is timeless, and without limit - as this article suggests.

Sciatica and Homeopathy relief.
Sciatica can be very painful, and whilst ConMed can only offer temporary pain relief, homeopathy offers so much more than this.

Homeopathy is very safe. And it is possible to take a remedy if the description of that remedy appears to closely match your symptoms. But despite this it is always better to refer yourself to a qualified homeopath so that the selection of remedy to match your condtion can be made more accurately.

Some Homeopathy Remedies

The use, and over-use of Arnica
Arnica is perhaps the most well-known remedy available through homeopathy. It's value in bruising, trauma and shock, have been known for over 200 years. Click here for another view.

Oscillocochinum - a remedy for flu.
This is the remedy I, and my family, take to ward off flu during the winter period. It is an excellent remedy.

And gardeners, how about this remedy - for your plants?
The remedy Silica has many uses both for plants, and the soils they grow in. I recently brought an Olive tree back to life after our hard winter - with Carbo Veg - so I know how effective homeopathy is with plants.
